Meet Dr. Kinga Baskai

Dr. Kinga Baskai has been practicing dentistry for more than a decade. She is inspired by and passionate about all aspects of dentistry, most essentially healthcare and aesthetics.

Dr. Baskai has always enjoyed working with her hands and working with people and as an oral reconstruction specialist and surgeon she combines both these elements. She enjoys the continuing evolution of the prosthodontic field with new developments, technologies, and techniques that can be implemented to treat patients better.

Dr. Baskai is a certified specialist in prosthodontics and a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. In addition to her private practice she continues to teach and lecture at the Faculty of Dentistry at McGill University. Dr. Baskai is an active member of both the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario and the Ordre des dentistes du Quebec and is a registered Dental Specialist in both provinces.

Born in Europe, Dr. Kinga Baskai grew up and completed her education in Canada. She received her Bachelor of Science with Honours (BScH) from Queen’s University and her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from McGill University. Following graduation, she practiced as a general dentist for two years before deciding to pursue her passion in implant and reconstructive dentistry by entering the Graduate Prosthodontic Specialty Program at the University of Toronto. Upon graduation, Dr. Baskai received her Masters in Science and Specialty Certificate in Prosthodontics.

In addition to her Fellow status in the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, Dr. Baskai is also a member of the International Team for Implantology, Academy of Osseointegration, Association of Prosthodontics of Canada, and the Canadian Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. She lectures locally and nationally in the field of prosthodontics and implantology, with focus on comprehensive treatment planning, aesthetic considerations and implant complications. When time allows she volunteers at the Ottawa Mission Dental Clinic and has participated in several dental missions in South America.

Originally from Ottawa, Dr. Baskai is happily married with two young boys. Having two very busy and exuberant toddlers, she and her husband are happy to be back in Ottawa and enjoying the lifestyle benefits this city has to offer.

When she’s not in the office, Dr. Baskai loves to spend time with her boys, enjoying as many outdoor activities as they can. She is an avid downhill skier and cannot wait to get her sons on the slopes. Dr. Baskai is also passionate about travel, cooking, and painting.
